Sarah Martinez’s path to becoming a personal injury attorney began with a personal tragedy. When she was 16, her younger brother was severely injured in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. Watching her family struggle with mounting medical bills while the insurance company delayed and denied their claims ignited a passion for justice that would define her career.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2005, Sarah pursued her Juris Doctor at Florida State University College of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2008. She began her legal career at a prominent insurance defense firm, where she spent three years learning how insurance companies evaluate and defend claims.
This experience proved invaluable when Sarah transitioned to plaintiff’s work in 2011. She joined a respected personal injury firm as an associate, quickly establishing herself as a formidable advocate for injured clients. In 2018, she founded Martinez Personal Injury Law with a mission to provide personalized, aggressive representation to injury victims throughout the Tampa Bay area.
Sarah’s approach to personal injury law is both methodical and passionate. She personally reviews every case, conducts thorough investigations, and works closely with medical experts to understand the full extent of her clients’ injuries. Her attention to detail and refusal to accept lowball offers has resulted in numerous seven-figure settlements and verdicts.
Beyond her legal practice, Sarah is deeply committed to community safety. She serves on the board of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Tampa Bay chapter and regularly speaks at high schools about the dangers of impaired driving. She also volunteers with the Tampa Bay Legal Aid Society, providing pro bono services to low-income families.
Sarah is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to serve Tampa Bay’s diverse community. She is a member of the Florida Justice Association, American Association for Justice, and Hillsborough County Bar Association.
